CHOICES WE MADE - OR DID WE?
"We are all where we are because of choices we have made".
Have you ever seen this quote, or variations of it? Pretty tough to argue with
that, isn't it? And there are lots of times when we want to argue, to say that
no, it was something else, some external factor got me here, something
totally beyond my control. But we know it's not true. We know it all comes
down to persona...Read Full Post »

YOUR STATE, AND YOUR GOVERNMENT, DON'T LOVE YOUR CHILDREN
When I married "for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, til death do us part"
it was to commit myself totally to one woman and to have children, and then commit
myself to them as well. I made no vow that I wanted or needed government control
in the raising of my children. In fact, until the late 1960s, marriage and family life
were the complete opposite of government c...Read Full Post »

THE 295 CLAUSE
"No-fault" divorce is insanity based on a lie. If you recited the traditional Wedding Vows to
your spouse, and agreed your marriage was "til death do us part", then initiating a "no-fault"
divxxce makes your vow a lie. The insanity part? When the strongest social contract two
people make can be obliterated for any or no reason, I say that's at least a pretty good
working definition of insanity.
But. What if you did not...Read Full Post »

ANARCHY IN THE U.S.A.
Here it is, October 1 2013, and the United States Government has officially shut down!
It's about time! That means with no government, it's anarchy! I can do whatever I
want! I can murder my own offspring through abortion. I can abandon my spouse
and family for any or no reason by means of "no-fault" divorce. I can run up huge
debts and still keep spending and spending!
Okay, well i...Read Full Post »

THE WEIRD DISCONNECT OF DIVORCE: PART TWO
On the list of most stressful human events on the famous Holmes and Raye
Social Readjustment Rating Scale, divorce is ranked number two, a close
second behind death of a spouse or child. And none of the stress of divorce
is good stress, either. So why are so many people insisting on their 'right"
to one of life's all time worst experiences?
In The Weird Disconnect Part...Read Full Post »

THE WEIRD DISCONNECT OF DIVORCE
Have you heard of the Holmes and Raye Social Readjustment Scale? Chances
are you have, if you've been forced into a "no-fault" divorce. Your attorney may have
even shown it to you. It's a listing of the most stressful adult life events, drawn up
by Thomas Holmes and Richard Raye after they studied about 5000 people to see
if there is a direct correlation between extreme stress and disease. (There is.)

"IT'S NOT THE DIVORCE THAT DOES THE DAMAGE, IT'S HOW IT'S HANDLED (???)
The "way it's handled" brigade has no clue that virtually all divorces involving children
are unilateral. They believe in the myth entirely created by the media that the parents
both realize they "don't get along" and that they'd like a divorce, now the only issue is
how to tell the children.
These people believe any issues arrive out of arguments over money, how to div...Read Full Post »

IT'S OVER, EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT OVER
Apologies to Yogi Berra. Well, in 2013, in the United States of America,
it looks like we're heading toward a 60 percent divorce rate. Sixty percent
of marriages end supposedly because no matter what, the couples
involved simply can't get along. And the sta...Read Full Post »

I MARRIED MY CELL PHONE!
There's a standing (not very funny) joke around here that a marriage
contract is worth less than a cell phone contract. Not very funny because
it's absolutely true. A marriage contract IS worth less than a c...Read Full Post »
